With the vision of serving the people at large with a sustainable business model, Leben was started by Mr. Haresh Shah from the city of Akola (Maharashtra) in the year 1981. The seeds of compassionate business were sown right from the beginning when first batch of medicines of Leben were given at free of cost to charitable dispensary at Shirpur (Jain Pilgrimage village near Akola, Maharashtra). At the time when availability of medicines for common ailments in small towns & villages was very limited, Leben took it as a responsibility to ensure quality medicines were made available there at affordable prices.
The word ‘Leben’ means ‘Life’ in German Language. As it suggests, “Love for Life” has been the deep rooted thought, since our foundation. Our logo itself reflects our values and commitment to nothing but excellence. It consists of a human hand extended outwards to leaves which symbolizes “care & support to every life”. We believe that only a healthy body can enable a person to enjoy all the desiring experiences of life and be truly happy – Healthy Inside, Happy Outside.
Leben is today recognized in India as one amongst the handful pharmaceutical companies who responsibly providing effective, quality medicines to the masses of India at reasonable prices. Many of our products are household names for common ailments.
We look towards reaching to more people with our quality medicines & reaching to those where it is needed the most. With the state of art manufacturing Plant, we plan to manufacture & provide complex formulations of the best quality to masses at reasonable prices.
