Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, API testing, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Cypress, Java, Cucumber, and TestNG. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Strategy:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure robust test coverage.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing criteria.
- Manual Testing:
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and stability.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies clearly and concisely.
- Execute test cases and analyze results to ensure the software meets business and technical requirements.
- Automation Testing:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using preferably Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Cypress, and other relevant tools.
- Implement and manage automated testing frameworks and processes to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- API Testing:
- Conduct API testing to validate functionality, reliability, performance, and security of API services.
- Utilize tools like Postman or Rest Assured for creating and executing API tests.
- OOPs and Programming:
- Apply Object-Oriented Programming principles in test script development.
- Write and maintain clean, reusable, and efficient code in Java or other relevant languages.
- Test Frameworks and Tools:
- Utilize Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Use TestNG for managing test execution, reporting, and organization of test suites.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing frameworks and tools.
- Performance and Load Testing:
- Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability under varying loads.
- Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of quality products.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA automation and manual testing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Java programming, Cucumber, Cypress, and API testing tools.
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Experience with BDD using Cucumber and test management with TestNG.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in software testing and automation are a plus.
