Job description

Cognizant is looking to hire talented individuals on a full-time basis. In this role, one will need to read/listen to an entire conversation followed by Writing a comprehensive summary & Summarizing the conversation into Facts based on the conversation between two or more individuals. Conversations include details gathered for relevant services(eg: consumer products & services, merchandise, reservations, medical appointments, insurance etc). Candidates will have complex Training and Policy Guidelines and will further have to manage the process metrics on a daily / weekly and monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce clear, concise, and accurate summaries of the conversation
  • Organize information in a logical and coherent manner
  • Write summaries that are engaging and easy to read
  • Basic Cultural awareness of the IN/US market to be able to identify a Users Request
  • Keen Listening Skills to gather relevant information
  • Creating a Title/Subject Line for Each Summarized Conversation
  • Basis the conversation between agent & Business, create, edit the Summary of the entire conversation which will be used as a message being sent to the User(accuracy and clarity is the key)
  • Identify relevant / irrelevant aspects which need to be added in the Summary
  • Proofread and edit summaries for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
  • Making sure the tasks allotted are completed within the defined SLA/TAT time.
  • Should be able to work independently and understand his/her performance metrics for improvement opportunities.

Skills required

  • Strong Writing Skills: Should be able to write, edit a clear & concise summary that is free of grammar and spelling errors
  • Mandatory competency: Good Hindi & English comprehension Skills to understand various accents
  • Reading and Comprehension: Should be able to read and comprehend content given, and establish context with the given task.
  • Research skills: Ability to conduct thorough research using Google Search platform on a variety of topics related to the Users Request.
  • Cultural & General Awareness: Should have awareness on consumer products & consumer services such as food & beverages, restaurant, leisure activities, lifestyle entertainment domains, medical, merchandise.
  • Work timings: Flexible to work in rotational shifts and weekends depending on the business requirement.
  • General skills: Attention to detail and accuracy, proficient with computers and Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets & equivalent platforms.

Qualification & Work Experience

  • Graduate Level (Bachelors Degree)
  • 2 – 6 years of experience (with preference to experience in fields related to writing and editing, creative writing, etc.).
